Helping us tackle hunger

Posted on 11:41 by Unknown
Let's face it: there are a lot more college football bowl games than there used to be. But one bowl game in particular really deserves our attention this year: the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl, taking place Sunday night in San Francisco. Kraft and Feeding America are drawing attention to hunger-relief programs by sponsoring this year's game. Jim Nelson, right, of Kraft Foods and Mike O'Neill of Central Grocers stopped by the Greater Chicago Food Depository today to present a contribution as part of the bowl game and the Huddle to Fight Hunger Program. Both Kraft and Central are longtime supporters of the Food Depository, and it's humbling to receive their support during these difficult times. Be sure to watch Nevada take on Boston College on Sunday at AT&T Park.
